| How to reach the Rhine Falls by public transport?
From the train station Schaffhausen:
bus number 1 and bus number 6 (ten minutes ride to Neuhausen)
From the Swiss train station (SBB) Neuhausen am Rheinfall:
a walk alongside the Rhine River (30 minutes)
From the German train station (DB) Neuhausen am Rheinfall:
a walk downhill to the Rhine River (15 minutes)
From the boat landing stage Schaffhausen (Schifflände):
- special bus called Rheinfall (during summertime)
- a walk alongside the Rhine River (60 minutes)

From Schaffhausen a separate cycle lane leads to the Rhine Falls - follow the sign for bicycles!
Trains SBB
Certain trains from Schaffhausen and Winterthur stop regularly at the small station, which is located next to the medieval castle Schloss Laufen on the hilltop.
The trains stops from Easter til the end of october between 7.45 and 18.15.
Advice for car drivers coming from Germany:
To reach the Rhine Falls please follow the roads marked with blue signs. Driving on highways (Autobahn, green signs) will be charged with a road tax, the Autobahnvignette.
